    Repinnable cutaway trainer

A solid brass 6-pin cutaway lock you can reconfigure

The Dangerfield Infinitus is a solid brass, 6-pin cutaway practice lock for pickers who want to keep changing the lesson. It lets you see the pin stacks, repin the cylinder, and build difficulty without buying a new lock every time your skill improves.

    Why buy this

Buy this when a fixed practice lock is no longer enough

Clear locks teach visibility, but a repinnable cutaway teaches progression. You can alter pinning, practise a known problem, and then make the same lock harder as your tension control improves.

    Visible but serious

The cutaway window shows the mechanism while the solid body feels more like a real cylinder.

    Change the lesson

Repinning lets you rebuild the lock around standard pins, security pins, or specific problem chambers.

    Longer bench life

One configurable trainer can stay useful through many stages of practice.

How to use a repinnable lock well

Start with fewer chambers and standard pins, then add pins back in as the open becomes repeatable. When you are ready, introduce security pins one at a time so you know exactly what each change feels like.

    • Record each pinning setup before you change it.
    • Add difficulty slowly so feedback stays readable.
    • Use the cutaway view to diagnose, then cover it and repeat.

    Questions

    Quick answers

Why choose cutaway over clear acrylic?

Cutaway locks give visibility while feeling closer to a metal cylinder.

    Is repinning difficult?

It takes care and organisation, but it is exactly what makes the lock a long-term trainer.

    Can a beginner use it?

Yes. Start with an easy pinning setup and increase difficulty slowly.

    What tools help?

A pinning tray, tweezers, and a clear note of your current pinning make practice cleaner.

Choose Infinitus for a practice lock that keeps changing

It is the training lock for buyers who want visibility, metal feedback, and a way to build harder lessons on the same cylinder.
